Welcome to the
Williamson County Gem and Mineral Society.


Rockhounds,

During the month of February, the Georgetown Public Library will display three cases of crystals, fossils, geodes, polished stones and other beautiful and fascinating specimens from the private collections of Williamson County Gem and Mineral Society members. The public is welcome to come by and view these "treasures" and get an idea of what the Williamson County Gem and Mineral Society is all about. The library is located at 402 W. Eighth St. Georgetown, 78626.

WCGMS Objectives:
* We assist and encourage members and others in the study and enjoyment of earth sciences and the lapidary arts.
* We conduct meetings, lectures and field trips.
* We provide educational exhibits and displays.
* We hold an annual public show.
* We support worthwhile projects associat-ed with the earth sciences sponsored by local or national organizations.
